Conveyor noise has been a challenge for distribution centers, warehouses, and shipping centers. The conveyor power rollers spin at high RPM moving several hundred packages an hour. This high speed rotation creates noise and vibration the exposes workers to high noise levels. eNoise has measured up to 95 decibels near these conveyor systems.
We have worked with many clients in the space, including Amazon, UPS, Ross Stores, Finish Line and others. Our experience with these distribution center customers has given us plenty of insight on how to diagnose the noise problem, measure the existing sound levels and provide you with engineering soundproofing options.
Another challenge facing the warehouse space is hard surfaces reflecting, amplifying, high echo and loudness in the large space. The metal deck roof, concrete walls and concrete floors reflect the existing conveyor noise energy back into the working space which increases the decibel levels. Sound absorption, baffles, quilted sound blankets and curtains have been effective measures to dampen this noise.
