In-Plant Noise Surveys: In-plant Noise Surveys involve decibel noise measurements in dBA (A-weighted) and 1/3rd octave band scale. We would conduct near and far field sound analysis to prioritize noise levels and noise exposure to workers. Our acoustic engineer can provide this data can be plotted on a floor plan (i.e. AutoCad submittal) to produce a sound survey. Additional noise dosimeter measurements can be taken to provide and calculate Time Weighted Averages (TWA) for worker noise exposure. All this detailed information will be used to develop a feasible noise control plan and an acoustic report.

Community Noise: Unger can conduct property line noise readings and measurements. Services typically include measurement and analysis of environmental noise (i.e. HVAC equipment, Exhaust Stacks, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Generators, Burners, etc.) to determine compliance with the applicable City, State, and/or Federal community noise guidelines. This data can be used to develop noise control recommendations (i.e. Sound Barrier Walls, Sound Enclosures, Stack Silencers, etc.) and consultant designs. Unger will use computer aided modeling techniques to determine our engineering recommendations.
